Joe Biden’s recent “crackdown” on illegal migrants is entirely “smoke and mirrors” according to the National Border Patrol Council representative for the San Diego sector. He should know since he has to watch the unfolding mess on a daily basis. Manny Bayon revealed that more than 6,800 migrants had been encountered crossing the border in his sector between June 5 when Biden announced the “crackdown” and yesterday. Combined with the ones encountered along the rest of the border, these numbers vastly exceed the limits the President set that would trigger the closure of the border. But of the 6,800 encountered near San Diego, more than 4,900 were released into the country’s interior. In other words, the President’s announcement was a political stunt and nothing has really changed at all. (NY Post)
