ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy doubles down on pro-abortion propaganda in season 19, episode five titled, ‘When I Get to the Border,’ this time pushing more lies about abortion laws and ectopic pregnancies.
This comes on the heels of episode three, which was an entire episode riddled with pro-abortion buzzwords and even a teenage abortion scene.
Abortion and the recent the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade seems to be a recurring theme so far this season, as the writers continue to regurgitate the left’s favorite talking points on the matter.
This episode centers around Idaho’s abortions laws, which according to the show, is forcing women to flee in mass numbers to a small hospital in Pullman, Washington for their abortion needs.
This week’s show starts off with a scene depicting pro-lifers as angry, crazies who scream and protest in the parking lot of the Pullman hospital where abortions are preformed.
The scene has dozens of people surrounding a vehicle that Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Dr. Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh) are operating, as they head to the hospital to volunteer, to help with ‘overflow’ due to high demand at the clinic.
Dr. Montgomery: Yeah, how do you know her, again, med school?
Dr. Bailey: Oh, no, college. She was my first-year roommate. Grew up in Chicago.
I thought she was very cosmopolitan.
Dr. Montgomery: How’d she wind up running a clinic in Pullman?
Dr. Bailey: Uh, her husband got a job teaching music at the university.
Dr. Montgomery: Oh. She likes it?
Dr. Bailey: Well, Pullman, Washington, is no Chicago, but she loves running the clinic. And she loves having a couple of doctors coming to volunteer even more. Patients from Idaho have been flooding the place ever since the state restricted abortion.
Protesters: Indistinct shouting
Dr. Bailey: Okay, should be coming up here.
Dr. Montgomery:The more experience we have, the less likely we are to be thrown when we encounter complications. We can shift gears more easily when it’s needed.
Protesters: [ Banging on van ] [ Shouting continues ]
Dr. Bailey: Oh, come on!
Protesters: Babies don’t choose abortion! You’re stopping a beating heart! Hey, you’re terminating lives, and you know it.
Dr. Bailey: Just keep moving.
Protesters: You’re killing babies. You’re a baby killer ’cause abortion is murder! And you took an oath to do no harm! You took an oath!
While the two doctors are volunteering in the hospital, they’re asked to assist a 39-year-old women who is suffering from an ectopic pregnancy.
According to the storyline, her doctor in Idaho wouldn’t give her the life-saving care she needed because of the states strict abortions laws.
This is a narrative that’s being used by abortion advocates to scare women and to gin up outrage and support for more abortion on demand — despite it being completely false.
There are no laws on the books in any U.S. state that would prevent doctors from treating women in need of medical attention for ectopic pregnancies.
Dr. Cynthia: I’ve got a 39-year-old with a cesarean-scar ectopic pregnancy.
Dr. Bailey: C-section scar?
Dr. Montgomery: Yes, the fetus can attach to the scar on the uterine wall.
Dr. Cynthia: Her OB found it on an ultrasound this morning. He wouldn’t remove it. They’re in Idaho.
Dr. Montgomery: It’s a life-threatening case, so there should be an exception.
Dr. Cynthia: There’s cardiac activity. He didn’t want to take the risk. The law is confusing. Nobody wants to be the first one to lose their license or be charged with a felony.
Dr. Montgomery: Alright. I’ll see her. Which room?
Dr. Cynthia: Across the border in Moscow. She called from the OB’s parking lot. Also, her car won’t start.
Dr. Bailey: You wanted to help.
Dr. Montgomery: [ Sighs ] I’ll get the keys.
Why let facts get in the way of a good narrative, even if it potentially instills unnecessary fear of abortion laws in the minds of the viewers who maybe aren’t fully informed on the issue, right?
Susan eventually succumbs to complications and excessive bleeding from the ectopic pregnancy while in route to the Pullman hospital.
Dr. Montgomery: Susan!
Dr. Bailey: What?
Dr. Montgomery: I can’t feel a pulse. I’m starting CPR. I’m pulling over.
9-1-1 Operator: Dispatch: 9-1-1. What’s your emergency?
Dr. Bailey: This is Dr. Miranda Bailey calling again about a patient hemorrhaging from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy on Highway 270. She’s coding. We’re starting CPR. We need immediate help!
9-1-1 Operator: We dispatched an ambulance, but there’s a significant accident. Road is stopped in both directions. Hopefully we’ll be there soon.
Dr. Bailey: She’s bleeding into her abdomen. She’s in hypovolemic shock. The compressions won’t do anything without giving her more blood.
Dr. Montgomery: If I stop, her heart stops. She has no pulse. I’m not stopping.
Dr. Bailey: Addison. She’s gone.
The show writers again failed to mention that only 17 states have so far moved to ban or to restrict abortion, while many blue states like California have actually moved to expand abortion access.
And of course, there was no mention of the hundreds of thousands of innocent lives killed in the womb every year through abortion in the U.S. alone.
The writers of Grey’s Anatomy continue to cram the liberal agenda down the throats of viewers, (on trend with previous seasons) — which has been well documented by the Media Research Center (MRC).
I wonder how many more pro-abortion episodes they have lined up for us this season? I guess I’ll have to keep watching to find out. Ugh!
