The Soros organizations control billions of dollars, they wield a great deal of influence over liberal and progressive politicians, and worst of all, they aren’t stupid.
It’s common enough for folks at any spot on the political spectrum to assume their opposition holds their leftist views because they are ignorant or just plain dumb, but that’s not always the case – and Alex Soros, heir to the Soros fortune and organization, is no dummy.
