We’ve reported how President-elect Donald Trump has been pushing liberal Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with his tariff threats. Trudeau then took an oblique swipe at Trump over the election, chastising Americans for not voting for a woman and saying ridiculously that this was somehow an attack on women’s rights, as though you couldn’t vote for the person you thought was the better candidate. But that’s the liberals of Canada in a nutshell: They don’t make a lot of sense.
Now, the Liberal Party is imploding in Canada. They were already in trouble and likely to lose in the election coming next year. Trudeau’s own party members are calling him out and jumping ship. His finance minister, Chrystia Freeland, just resigned on Monday, and other liberal members were calling on Trudeau to resign. He reportedly was considering it.
