Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said during an interview over the weekend that it was deeply disturbing how leftists have praised the man who was charged with murdering a health insurance CEO on the streets of New York City earlier this month.
Mayorkas made the remarks during a Sunday interview on CBS News’ “Face The Nation” with Margaret Brennan.
“Manhattan prosecutors called it a killing that was intended to evoke terror. Would you consider him a terrorist?” Brennan asked. “Is this domestic violent extremism?”
Mayorkas responded: “The rhetoric on social media following that – that murder is extraordinarily alarming. It speaks of what is really bubbling here in this country.
