‘This Is Not About Finger Pointing’

California Governor Gavin Newsom passed the buck when asked during an interview over the weekend if the “buck stops” with him in relation to the state’s poor response to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.

Newsom, who cut $100 million from California’s fire prevention budget, made the remarks during an interview that aired Sunday on NBC News’ “Meet The Press” when asked about the investigation that he ordered into why there were water supply issues.

He said that he wants the investigation to answer the question of “What the hell happened? What happened to the water system?”

He suggested that they could have run out of water due to the amount of water being used or that there would have been a problem with “pipes” or “electricity.”
