As we previously reported, Democrats tried to take a pot shot at Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth by dropping a letter attacking the cost of the improvements that the Department of Defense allocated for the house in which he was going to live.
Fox’s national security correspondent at the Pentagon, Jennifer Griffin posted the letter, saying:
Dems on House Appropriations Committee ask why Sec Hegseth needs $137,297 for home repairs/paint for government residence, in light of DOGE efforts to save tax payer money?
But as Hegseth responded, the money and improvements weren’t requested by him:

Any/all house repairs were going to happen no matter who was moving in—and were all initiated by DoD.
But Dems/Jen don’t care about facts; they’re just Trump haters….
