I’m not sure if this story is “life imitating art imitating life” or whatever, but I do know that what happened in a Massachusetts city recently.
As reported by Boston’s NBC affiliate, the Worcester City Council on Tuesday voted to become a sanctuary for “transgender” people as well as those who identify as “gender diverse.”
The petition, which was filed by resident Allie Cislo on behalf of the “Queer Residents of Worcester and Our Allies,” was passed after the council’s first openly nonbinary member, Thu Nguyen, announced a hiatus from the council because the environment in the ultra liberal council was “transphobic.”
The petition specifically calls on the city to not cooperate with federal and state policies aimed at harming transgender and gender diverse people, and to ensure that the LGBTQ+ community has access to healthcare, housing, education,…
