Fox NFL broadcaster Jimmy Johnson said he’s made the “difficult decision” he’s been weighing for years and announced that he’s retiring.
During Johnson’s Monday appearance on “The Herd,” the former head coach of the Dallas Cowboys said after nearly three decades, he’s leaving the Fox Sports NFL show, NBC Sports reported.
“I’ve made an extremely difficult decision,” Johnson said. “I’ve been thinking about it for the last four or five years, and I’ve decided to retire from Fox.”
“I’m gonna miss it, I’m gonna miss all the guys … but it has been a great run starting 31 years ago,” he added.
