President Donald Trump said during an interview over the weekend that his tariffs against Canada and Mexico may go even higher than the 25% tariffs that are set to go into effect next month.
The president made the remarks during a Sunday interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo when asked about whether his administration will start giving more clear signals about the direction that they are moving in with tariffs so business leaders are better able to manage their companies.
“Well, I think so,” Trump said. “But, you know, the tariffs could go up as time goes by, and they may go up and, you know, I don’t know if it’s predictability. I think–”
