One of the things that President Donald Trump has made clear about his presidency is that he intends to bring jobs back that Joe Biden let get away or consciously attacked. That’s part of what the tariff push is about: encouraging manufacturing to come back to the U.S. rather than fleeing to other countries.
One of the areas that Trump is intent on building up again is the energy industry, or as they phrase it, “American Energy Dominance.” It’s not just about jobs but also securing our own energy independence — about which Biden didn’t seem to be concerned.
Under Trump, the price of oil has been coming down, and the average gas price nationally has dropped from what it was under Joe Biden a year ago.
