“A Minecraft Movie” is smashing box office expectations for its second week in theaters, earning it the top spot as the highest-grossing movie of 2025 so far. The video game-based film starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black earned $80.6 million in ticket sales over the weekend alone, bringing the worldwide total to more than $550 million.
That’s a stark contrast to Disney’s live-action remake of “Snow White,” which dropped out of the box office top five this week after being pulled from 1,210 theaters less than one month after its premiere, as Forbes reported.
