Florida Attorney General to Defy Judge’s Order to Halt Enforcement of Florida Immigration Law – RedState

An activist judge has ordered Florida to stop the enforcement of their recent law allowing misdemeanor charges for illegal aliens who enter Florida to evade immigration authorities. This is the showdown; a judge’s order is about to be effectively defied by a major state official.





Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier will rebut a judge’s demand that his office order state law enforcement to halt enforcement of a state immigration law she ordered paused under suspicion of unconstitutionality.

The law allows for misdemeanor charges against illegal immigrants who enter Florida and hope to avoid federal immigration officials.

In other words, the Attorney General of the State of Florida, James Uthmeier, is stating that the judge’s order will be, for all intents and purposes, ignored.
