The New York Times and the Washington Post won a Pulitzer Prize for their gaslighting, dishonest coverage of a scandal that wasn’t, the “Russia-Russia” hoax. They have yet to give it back and admit that they shouldn’t be receiving trophies for lying to the American public.
Proving that the news industry has learned nothing, the Emmys decided to nominate CBS News for a prize Thursday for their duplicitous handling of a “60 Minutes” Kamala Harris interview right before the November presidential election. Trump sued the outlet for $10 billion for its dishonesty (later raised to $20 billion), and the two sides are currently in settlement talks. In other words, CBS’ parent corporation Paramount Global is caving because they don’t want Trump’s FCC to derail its proposed multi-billion-dollar merger with Skydance Media.
