Multiple large companies are transferring the cost of tariffs to their customers, raising prices on products ranging from Barbie dolls to cars.
Mattel, the U.S. toy company that makes Barbies, said it plans to raise prices due to President Donald Trump’s 145% tariff on China. Some items on Amazon have seen as much as a 25% increase since Trump’s tariffs went into effect. Meanwhile, Shein, an online clothing store, has jacked up prices by as much as 377%, according to Bloomberg. Ford is also bumping up prices for its cars that are manufactured in Mexico and subject to Trump’s 25% auto import tariff.
Those price increases can be a little overwhelming if you dwell on them too long, especially on top of that mortgage that just won’t go away. But don’t worry, there’s some relief!
