I’ve long found it bemusing, the whole notion that people have to tightly restrict themselves to save water. Now, I can see that concern in places like Tucson, or even the Denver area, where I lived for so long. But when I was a kid in Iowa, we had no issues with water, and here in the Great Land, well, if there’s one thing Alaska has plenty of, it’s water.
The Biden administration, now thankfully defunct, saw things differently. To that end and to address the climate change hooraw, they slapped a bunch of regulations on things like gas stoves, shower heads, toilets, dishwashers, and so forth. This was a waste of effort and annoying to boot. Trying to take a shower under one of those low-flow shower heads is a frustration and requires spending at least three times as long in the shower, and as for stoves, anyone who wants to come take my wife’s LP gas stove…
