Republicans Urge House To Codify Trump’s Executive Orders

Republicans are pushing the House toward codifying President Donald Trump’s executive orders, a move that would give these actions extra protection.

In a letter first reported on Wednesday by Breitbart News, Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) and 16 Republican colleagues urged House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) to prioritize cementing Trump’s priorities into law.

“On January 20, 2025, President Trump returned to office and immediately went to work ushering in a new golden age for the United States. In pursuit of this mission, he has signed numerous executive orders to rein in spending, shrink bloated bureaucracies, end the culture war launched by the Left, and restore accountability to Washington,” the House Republicans wrote.
