One of the big stories over the past week was when former FBI Director James Comey posted a picture of shells on a beach forming an “86 47,” which some interpreted as a threat against President Donald Trump because “86” is commonly used to refer to killing someone.
After the backlash, Comey deleted the post, claiming that he didn’t understand that the message might have a violent interpretation. It still got him an interview with the Secret Service.
Former CIA Director John Brennan came to his defense, saying he, Brennan, didn’t understand that expression either.
So we have to conclude either they’re not telling us the truth, or they’re the most ignorant law enforcement/intel people.
