When serial liars get caught lying, their natural and first inclination is to continue to lie even more, often to the point of ridiculousness — and even beyond. Heck, I’ve seen liars get angry or even get their feelings hurt when their lies weren’t believed.
Enter: Former FBI Director James Comey.
Comey, whose Trump Derangement Syndrome became legendary during his hyperpartisan stint as FBI Director, found himself in a bit of a festering pickle because of an image he posted on X (formerly Twitter) of seashells arranged as “86 47,” which many people immediately recognized as “86 President Donald Trump.”
“86,” which for decades has meant to “take out” someone, was a popular mob term that means to take someone eight miles out and put them six feet underground. And of course, Trump is the 47th president of the United States.
