Have you heard of these “reputation management” firms? Here in Orange County they advertise on the radio. The basic idea is that if you own company which has received some sort of negative attention on the internet, these companies will help make it disappear. That’s what they promise but I’ve always wondered how it actually works. After all, if someone writes a negative review online about their experience with some company or individual it’s not likely they’re going to just remove it at the request of the company, not without some inducement to do so.Read More
