San Francisco has brought the cost of a single public toilet down to a mere $1.4 million

Last October the city of San Francisco made news, as it often does, by being an embarrassment. Specifically, the city had made plans to install a single public toilet in a spot called Noe Valley Town Square. That in itself was not the problem.
