Fox Highlights Illegal Alien Who Killed Cop After Crossing Biden’s Border

Over the past week, Fox News has again demonstrated that the more liberal news outlets cannot be trusted to inform viewers about events related to illegal immigration as several Fox shows have covered the case of a Florida police officer who was killed last week by an illegal immigrant who entered the country since President Joe Biden took office.

On Monday morning’s America’s Newsroom, co-anchor Bill Hemmer informed viewers: “An illegal immigrant now charged in the deadly hit and run of a Florida sheriff’s deputy who was working traffic detail at a construction site last Thursday. Officials say he was struck and killed by the suspect driving a front loader.”

He then brought up the issue of illegal aliens managing to find ways to work illegally as he added: “Governor DeSantis has ordered an investigation into how the man was hired without proper paperwork. A good question.”

Correspondent Alexis McAdams related to viewers that Juan Ariel Molina-Salles, a Mexican national, had managed to enter the U.S. illegally, get a job at a construction site in Florida, and ran over Pinellas County Deputy Michael Harwick after the officer arrived to help protect constructions workers from traffic.

On Saturday’s Fox Report, McAdams had further recalled that Molina-Salles had already been deported once when he tried to enter in October 2021, but still managed to evade Border Patrol to get into the country again later:

Investigators tell us Molina-Salles first entered the U.S. illegally in October of last year. That was here in Eagle Pass, Texas, but that time was sent back to Mexico by the Border Patrol. Then, he came back again in March through Texas another time. This is a look at just how busy things are here at the border. This has been happening every single day for months. Today, hundreds of people walking right across that river and here into Texas. Now, Molina-Salles is one of the more than 500,000 known gotaways this fiscal year That’s what the Border Control calls the people who are evading their capture.

Fox & Friends also covered the story on Saturday morning.

There have so far been at least five cases in 2022 of police officers being killed by illegal immigrants, four of which were covered by Fox, but mostly ignored by the other networks. Last January, when the other networks did cover the murder of Officer Charles Galloway in Houston, they ignored the illegal immigration angle and instead cited the tragedy as part of the Democrat drive for more gun laws.

Fox’s important journalism which illustrates how porous the border is was sponsored in part by Liberty Mutual and The Farmer’s Dog. Their contact information is linked. Let them know you appreciate them keeping their viewers informed of such important news.

BILL HEMMER: An illegal immigrant now charged in the deadly hit and run of a Florida sheriff’s deputy who was working traffic detail at a construction site last Thursday. Officials say he was struck and killed by the suspect driving a front loader. Governor DeSantis has ordered an investigation into how the man was hired without proper paperwork. A good question. Alexis McAdams is on that story out of Eagle Pass, Texas, and more with exclusive video of smuggling at the border. Alexis, good morning.

ALEXIS McADAMS: Bill, good morning. That’s right. We are learning more about that migrant who passed here at least two times in the United States illegally. At least one of those times he crossed right here where I’m standing in Eagle Pass, Texas. Now, he is behind bars. Take a look on your screen. This is that mugshot we got from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department out in Florida. That’s Juan Ariel Molina-Salles, now held on $500,000 bond and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal crash after investigators say he ran over a sheriff’s deputy with a front loader truck and took off. Deputy Michael Hartwick was killed. He was a 19-year veteran of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department. Right now his family is grieving as his family tries to figure out Molina-Salles was ever approved to work at that construction site. The hit and run happened at this Florida construction zone on Thursday night.

Deputy Hartwick was there to patrol the area and make sure that crew was safe, but when he got out of his car, police say Molina-Salles ran him over, then hid in the bushes for nine hours before he was arrested.

He has no qualifications to drive a front loader, and, you know, what he sad is that what he told those people is is that back in Honduras he worked some construction, and he knows how to operate this thing. So they said, “Go ahead.”
