When Joe Biden hosted his big pride month shindig last week, you probably noticed the President making some rather odd claims. Or at least attempting to make odd claims during the segments of the address that sounded at least somewhat coherent. After somehow manufacturing the word “transjester,” Biden went on to describe the terrible state of affairs for gay and lesbian people in the United States. He asserted that “something is still very wrong in America.” And how does he know that? Because “someone can be married in the morning and then be thrown out of a restaurant for being gay in the afternoon.” The only thing making this bizarre claim even more incredible is the fact that Politifact rated the claim as “mostly true” almost immediately.
