Networks SILENT On Harvard President’s Plagiarism Scandal

Across the major evening network newscasts, there was no mention of the accusations of plagiarism against embattled Harvard President Claudine Gay, already under fire due to her flippant responses to questions on whether a call for the genocide of Jews is violative of campus rules.

This coverage sample, from NBC, makes mention of the responses, the calls to dismiss, and the Harvard faculty letter supporting Gay. But there is no mention of plagiarism.

STEPHANIE GOSK: Saturday, University of Pennsylvania President Liz Magill resigned from her post. During the hearing, both presidents testified that calls for the genocide of Jews did not necessarily violate their campus rules. 

CLAUDINE GAY: It can be depending on the context.
