The man who was taken into custody as a “person of interest” Monday in the October murder of Detroit synagogue leader Samantha Woll has now been charged with murder, home invasion, and lying to police.
Detroit resident Michael Jackson-Bolanos, 28, entered a plea of not guilty on Wednesday and then returned to jail, where he is being held without bond. Jackson-Bolanos is not the same man who was held for about 72 hours in November related to the killing and then released.
Woll was found stabbed to death outside her home on October 21, and given her position as president of the Isaac Agree Downtown Detroit Synagogue there were questions as to the motive for the killing.
