Black Lives Matter’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Week

Black Lives Matter‘s brand took an absolute beatdown this week, largely at the hands of Daily Wire host Candace Owens and billionaire rapper Kanye West.

The cultural figures, who’ve become increasingly close since West in 2018 said he likes “the way Candace Owens thinks,” rebuffed the controversial organization during Paris Fashion Week on Monday with head-turning “White Lives Matter” shirts, and ended the week with Owens’ drop of the West-promoted documentary “The Greatest Lie Ever Sold,” an exposé on BLM’s shady finances and suspect rise to utter ubiquity.

The bad press for BLM was sparked on Monday, when the internet was set ablaze by Owens and West donning the “White Lives Matter” shirts during a fashion show in Paris.

And the heat only turned up when both Owens and West refused to back down from the statement shirts and openly bashed Black Lives Matter.

“Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a scam,” West bluntly said on Instagram to his 18 millions followers on Tuesday. “Now it’s over, you’re welcome.” The fashion designer later defiantly posted, “Here’s my latest response when people ask me why I made a tee that says white lives matter… THEY DO.”

The “Donda” rapper would later veer from BLM messaging during an interview with Fox New host Tucker Carlson, emphasizing his pro-life views and his turn from the Democrat Party.

Owens refused to back down, too, challenging critics to stop focusing on the shirt and instead on real threats to the black community, like abortion, obesity, the breakdown of the family, and black-on-black crime.

“If ‘black lives matter,’ then some of these things that we have been talking about on this show, things I’ve been talking about throughout my entire political career, would be getting attention, not the t-shirt,” Owens said on her podcast Tuesday.

The BLEXIT founder culminated her takedown of BLM Thursday by dropping the highly-anticipated documentary, “The Greatest Lie Ever Sold.”

The BLM exposé, available exclusively for DailyWire+ members on October 12, takes a deep-dive into the multi-million dollar “grift” of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation and its former Executive Director Patrisse Cullors.

After Owens dropped the trailer for the documentary via Twitter to her 3.1 million followers, West followed up by posting the clip to his nearly 18 million Instagram followers.

Aside from examining BLM’s serious financial troubles, the damning film offers viewers “the true story” behind the life and death of George Floyd and the rise of the movement with never-before-seen interviews from insiders and experts.

“Riots, violence, and biblical heresy — that is the true story behind the George Floyd story,” the “Candace” host says in the documentary. “You look around you, and you see what is left — a story that made its way around the world. Do you see $90 million invested in this community? Where did that money go?”

The best-selling author notably dropped the trailer for the documentary with a post rebuffing a “Black Lives Matter” tweet from actor and singer Jaden Smith.

“Ironically, you suffer from a life of tremendous white privilege,” Owens told Smith. “You say ‘black lives matter’ not because you mean it, but because you hope it provides you legitimacy within a community you never knew.”

“The fraudulent BLM will be exposed on 10/12,” she said.

Tagging Smith, Owens asserted, “Please wear black out of respect for the demise of the movement which led black America into further poverty, incarceration, and despair.”
