Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this week that a representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross refused to bring life-saving medications to hostages still trapped inside Gaza.
Netanyahu’s remarks come as Israel has intensified its operations against Hamas, the Islamic terrorist group that murdered 1,200 Israelis on October 7, in recent days as it seeks the return of the remainder of the hostages that Hamas kidnapped.
“I met with the Red Cross; I handed them a box of medicine for some of the hostages shown here. Some of them really need it,” Netanyahu said. “I told a representative to take this box to Rafah; she said no. It was a difficult conversation.”
