The United States and Israel have to target Iran if either hopes to curb terrorism that plagues the Middle East, according to Knesset member and former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.
Bennett, who served as prime minister of Israel from 2021 to 2022, wrote in an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal on Friday that Israel and the U.S. should target Iran over the activities of its terrorist proxies. Ramping up consequences for the Iranian regime over the work of groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah is the only way to curb terrorism in the region, he said.
