The terrorist group ISIS has claimed responsibility for the bombing Wednesday in Iran on that killed dozens and injured hundreds.
Multiple bombs went off in the southern Iranian city of Kerman during an anniversary memorial service for Iranian terrorist Qassem Soleimani, killing at least 73 and injuring hundreds of others. [The U.S. killed Soleimani in a drone strike ordered by then-President Donald Trump.]
ISIS, also known as the Islamic State, claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement the terrorist group posted Thursday.
“Yesterday, they detonated their explosive belts in the middle of the crowd, killing and wounding more than 300 polytheist Shiites,” ISIS said in the post, according to a translation provided by former U.S. State Department official Gabriel Noronha. “Praise be to God.”
