Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley vowed to stay in the Republican Party primary race after losing to her former boss, former President Donald Trump, in New Hampshire on Tuesday night, her second primary loss.
The race was called for Trump with less than 20% of the vote counted as the former president enjoyed an 8-9% lead over Haley in a state where she relied on independents, moderates, and secular voters to boost her. The remaining primary schedule largely favors the former president.
“What a great night!” Haley declared while addressing her supporters, “God is so good.”
After acknowledging that Trump won the primary, she said that “the political class” was “falling all over themselves saying this race is over.”
