Democrat Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis admitted on Friday that she had a personal relationship with the man that she hired as the special prosecutor in the criminal election case against former President Donald Trump.
Wade paid for Willis to accompany him on at least two trips in 2022 and 2023 after Willis had already hired him to oversee her RICO case against Trump, court filings said.
Willis claimed in a 176-page court filing that “any personal relationship among members of the prosecution team does not amount to a disqualifying conflict of interest or otherwise harm a criminal defendant,” The Washington Post reported.
