But as I wrote earlier, Texas has shown that simply enforcing the law and securing the border works, according to new stats from Fox’s Bill Melugin.

Melugin explained that, because of Texas defense efforts, which include the threat of a real arrest, as well as Mexico taking people off trains who are heading to the border, there are fewer people entering illegally in the Del Rio sector in Texas. That number has dropped from 3-4000 a day in December–to 200 a day.
