The National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) supports the Senate border bill. I know. I was shocked, too.
NBPC endorses the border security portion of the bill dropped on Sunday night when no one was paying attention. It does not weigh in on the foreign aid for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.
The reason the NBPC gave for endorsing the border bill is that it is “far better than the status quo.” The union president is supporting the bill even though he endorsed Trump for president and Trump does not support the bill. The union says the bill is not perfect but it will deliver some help.
BREAKING: In a statement to @FoxNews, the Border Patrol union says they support & endorse the bipartisan border deal negotiated in the Senate, saying it’s “not perfect, but far better than the status quo”.
They do not endorse the rest of the spending bill.
