House Votes to Impeach DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas – RedState

It appears the second time was the charm insofar as it relates to the impeachment of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. In a close 214-213 vote Tuesday evening, the House of Representatives voted to impeach the embattled cabinet secretary, marking the first such impeachment in nearly 150 years. 

The Articles of Impeachment against Mayorkas were unveiled in late January.

The articles listed include: 

  1. Willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law
  2. Breach of the public trust
