“The Chosen” dropped a fiery new trailer on Thursday that gives fans a sneak peek at what to expect in the upcoming episodes in Season 4, which will be shown in theaters.
In the one-minute plus trailer — which explores the life of Jesus through those who were closest to him — sees Jesus (played by Jonathan Roumie) struggling with the fact that even more difficult times are in store for him and his followers.
“The human desire to avoid difficult news sometimes makes one deaf,” Roumie’s character explains in the clip. “I speak the words of my Father in Heaven and the religious leaders call it blasphemy.”
Jesus’ message—in word and deed—stirs up even greater devotion and division. Even among his closest followers. Watch as the story accelerates rapidly toward its inescapable conclusion. Season 4, Episodes 4-6 are in theaters now.
