Former President Donald Trump said Tuesday night that he believes that former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley was still in the presidential race because she does not know how to get out.
Trump made the remarks during a town hall event after Haley held a press conference earlier in the day declaring that she would ignore growing calls for her to drop out, despite being down by roughly 60 points nationally to Trump.
During her press conference, Haley said that she has “settled” the question about whether she was running to be Trump’s vice president, something that she declined to directly answer earlier during the campaign.
When asked whether he thought that Haley had “settled that question,” Trump responded: “Well, I settled it about three months ago. She’s not working. She’s here. She’s down by 30-35 points. And everybody knows her. You’re not supposed to lose your home…
