President Biden hosted the country’s governors at the White House Friday. Last week, the National Governors Association (NGA) Winter Meeting was held in Washington, D.C.. It is traditional for the president to invite them to the White House.
The governors also met with Kamala Harris, cabinet members, and senior White House advisers. Governors of about 40 states and territories were in attendance. Bipartisan solutions to affordable housing, AI risks, workforce development, and disaster response were batted around.
President Unity hosted a black-tie dinner for the governors Friday night. Biden spoke and once again regaled the audience with a story about his relationship with China’s President Xi that has been debunked repeatedly. Nonetheless, he persists. Biden also confused China and Russia.
