President Joe Biden took a few questions during a brief ice cream break with NBC late-night host and comedian Seth Meyers, telling reporters he hoped the United States could help facilitate a ceasefire in Gaza by Monday.
Biden, between bites of his ice cream cone, said that his advisors were telling him that they were “close” to an agreement that could bring about at least a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, the terror group that controls Gaza and is responsible for the unprovoked attacks on Israel on October 7 of last year.

Meyers and Biden walked into the ice cream shop, and after some banter with others inside, the president decided on mint chocolate chip ice cream, “And how about a sugar cone?”
