ICE Arrests 3 Illegal Aliens In Connection With Baby’s Death

Federal immigration authorities took custody of three illegal aliens late last month in Rhode Island in connection with the death of a 1-year-old baby.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials said in a statement that the three female illegal aliens — ages 32, 25, and 22 — were from Portugal.

“The three Portuguese nationals were arrested Feb. 11 by the Pawtucket Police Department in connection with the child’s death, which occurred under their care,” ICE said in a statement. “Police also arrested a 25-year-old man alleged to be the child’s father. The three women were charged with felony child endangerment; the alleged father was charged with manslaughter, three counts of second degree child abuse, and child endangerment.”

Officers from ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) took custody of the three women a week later.
