So, when President Biden’s Deputy Press Secretary Olivia Dalton, speaking while en route to an appearance in New Hampshire on Monday, claims emphatically that the president “didn’t apologize” for referring to Laken Riley’s alleged murderer as “illegal” (which he was) but that the president “used a different word” – that word being “regret” – you know she either doesn’t understand English or she’s desperately running cover.
