Pence Says He Won’t Endorse Trump In 2024

Former Vice President Mike Pence said on Friday that he would not endorse former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

The comments came less than a week after Trump surpassed the requisite threshold of delegates — 1,215 — to secure the Republican presidential nomination, paving the way to a 2020 rematch against President Joe Biden in the general election.

“It should come as no surprise that I will not be endorsing Donald Trump this year,” Pence said on Fox News after anchor Martha MacCallum asked Pence if he would be backing Trump.

Pence served as vice president for four years under Trump. They ran together in 2020 seeking a second term but were defeated by Biden.
