Bernie Moreno Projected to Win Ohio GOP Senate Primary – RedState

One of the key (and most hotly contested) races of Tuesday’s primaries was the GOP Senate primary in Ohio. It looked to be a close call in a three-way race between former car dealership owner Bernie Moreno, state Senator Matt Dolan, and Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose. 

Once the polls closed in Ohio, Moreno and Dolan were neck and neck for a stretch, but now, with 26 percent of the vote counted, DecisionDeskHQ is projecting Moreno to win the nomination and the chance to face off against incumbent Democrat Senator Sherrod Brown. 

 

Moreno had the benefit of receiving former President Donald Trump’s endorsement in the race, as well as that of Senator J.D. Vance.
