NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller’s funeral was held on Saturday as his family, friends and many officers came together to honor him at the St. Rose of Lima Church in Massapequa Park, New York.
Diller was allegedly killed by a man with a long rap sheet–21 prior arrests–during a traffic stop in Queens on Monday.
On Thursday, former President Donald Trump attended his wake and visited with the family.
On that same day, Joe Biden also visited New York City, snarling traffic for a fundraiser with celebrities, as well as Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. Biden himself has made no formal statement about the death of the officer, did not attend the wake, or contact the family.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made some pro forma remarks when questioned, but didn’t even mention the officer’s name, and then she used his killing as an excuse to argue for more gun control.
