WAAAH! Biden Whines About Bad Press Coverage, Media Just Doesn’t ‘Get’ Him

Aww, poor baby, Joe Biden doesn’t like his press coverage.

Moping around the White House, the president is telling anyone who will listen that the media just doesn’t “get” him, according to a new report. And what’s more, the White House went on the record with the gripe — they want the world to know he’s a crybaby.

“There has been a fundamental disbelief, particularly among the D.C., east coast press corps, in Biden’s vision, in his strategy, in his tactics, in his ability to do the things that he said he would do,” White House communications director Kate Bedingfield told NBC News reporter Mike Memoli.

“There are reams and reams of headlines and tweets from reporters declaring his agenda dead, that he was out of date, he was out of touch with where the country is. And what’s happened is we’ve put together a historically successful set of legislative accomplishments that has defied those expectations,” she said.

What color is the sky in Biden’s world? Americans are being crushed by inflation, skyrocketing gas and food prices, and soaring crime. And every recent poll shows that voters blame Biden — even though he’s busy calling it all “Putin’s price hike.”

The president openly blasts the press as adversarial, despite the fact that most reporters covering him are liberals. In a 2020 survey of journalists conducted by The Washington Post, nearly 8 in 10 said they were liberal or Democrats.

For instance, when reporters were being herded out of the Oval Office after a White House abortion task force meeting earlier this month, they barraged the president with questions. Biden the scold was indignant: “You’re among the only press in the world that does this. Seriously, seriously.”

Uh, for the record, Joe, that’s our job — and it was enshrined in the Constitution by the Founding Fathers.

In his interviews with White House staffers, Memoli found a deep undercurrent of disrespect for press coverage of the president.

“President Joe Biden’s press team has made no secret of their frustration with the way their boss is covered. And of late, the president is venting that frustration himself,” he wrote.

“Day by day, Biden has come to share that view of some of his closest advisers, that the press corps simply just doesn’t ‘get’ him and won’t give him a fair shake. But Biden has not exactly stiff-armed the mainstream press,” Bedingfield noted. “He just engages with them much differently than his predecessors,” Memoli wrote.

Differently? Try hardly at all. Biden has done far fewer press conferences and sit-down interviews than his predecessors. President Barack Obama had conducted 231 interviews through September of his second year in office, but Biden has done just 42, according to the NBC report.

Memoli, quite possibly one of those 8 in 10 liberal reporters, defends Biden and the lack of access by the media.

“The bottom line view for this White House is there are diminishing returns in engaging in more traditional press interactions with members of the Washington press corps that in their view remain ‘fundamentally skeptical’ of Biden’s performance. Beyond some of the more non-traditional formats for putting Biden out there, the White House has prioritized using members of their Cabinet and senior staff to do local and regional press interviews,” Memoli wrote.

But if Biden thinks the media coverage is bad now, just wait until after Election Day 2022, when he loses both the House and the Senate, and Democrats — along with his pals in the media — realize he’s a huge liability and bail on him in droves.
