On Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris will visit Las Vegas, campaigning to save her job and to promote Nevada’s abortion ballot measure. This measure seeks to enshrine abortion up to 24 weeks gestation in the state constitution.
According to a campaign spokesperson, the Biden-Harris campaign will help collect signatures for the ballot initiative while telling voters to support the effort as “an important step to protect against extremist state lawmakers who may try to adopt another ‘Trump abortion ban‘ in the future.'”
When she does so, Vice President Harris will be lying. Abortion access is already protected in Nevada from all state lawmakers, and it has been for 33 years. And the big lie isn’t new.
