Law enforcement officials in Charlotte report that three U.S. Marshalls were killed in the incident, and five officers were injured, with one of those being in critical condition.
UPDATE:
The residence the shooter fired from has been cleared, and the area is safe. One shooter was located deceased. Occupants of the home are now being questioned by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
The residence on Galway Drive is now clear, and the area is safe. Residents no longer need to shelter in place.
At least one shooting suspect was located deceased at the residence after clearing the scene.
CMPD is questioning two other occupants of the home.
