Ruth Buzzi is a legendary comedian who has appeared on many shows, perhaps the most well-known of which was “Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In,” which aired from 1968 to 1973.
One of her most famous characters was Gladys Ormphby, who wore brown and had her hair in a bun covered with a hairnet. “Gladys” was a very unhappy person who also appeared on various “Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts” to explain why the roastee had somehow grievously failed her and didn’t sufficiently appreciate all she had done for them.
