Joe Biden held an event in recognition of “Cinco de Mayo” at the White House on Monday.
Now, every time something like that comes up, I know folks who go, “Oh, no, what the heck is he going to say to mess that up?” We’ve seen all kinds of things when it comes to Joe and Jill in terms of how they talk about Hispanics, from playing “Despacito” which was incredibly cringe, to Jill talking comparing people to “breakfast tacos” and talking about the “bogidas [bodegas] of the Bronx.”
The pandering racism is a feature of the public comments.
