Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said that Democrats are trying to interfere in the upcoming presidential election because they are terrified at the prospect of former President Donald Trump regaining the White House.
Cruz made the remarks during the most recent episode of his “Verdict” podcast this week with co-host Ben Ferguson.
Speaking of the criminal trial that Trump faces in New York State over an alleged hush money payment that he made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, Cruz said: “This is happening because Democrats are terrified that the American people are going to vote for Donald Trump in November. And they are trying to interfere with the election. They’re trying to stop the election. They’re trying to do everything they can to stop Trump from being reelected.”
