Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) defended former President Donald Trump’s handling of the border during an interview this week while criticizing President Joe Biden’s disastrous record on the matter.
Romney made the remarks during an interview with Stephanie Ruhle on MSNBC as the subject of border security and illegal immigration has routinely been one of the top issues for voters for the duration of Biden’s presidency.
“People have been screaming about the border for all three and a half years Joe Biden has been president,” Romney said. “He’s not done anything to solve the problem of the border. That’s a huge issue for President Trump, I can’t understand why President Biden didn’t tackle this from the beginning.”
